This is a frame from a graphic about the elections in Russia at the time when President Yeltsin was trailing in the polls and how his challenger was overtaking him in the race for the presidency. The producer of the report had shot some video of Russian dolls which were in the shape of all the past presidents of Russia, but there was no doll for Yeltsin nor his challenger so I had to create one from photographs and use it in the graphic. The dolls rose from the baseline of the x-axis at the same time their respective graph line appeared.
